Operations Manager

to streamline our processes, strengthen our team, and ensure that every project runs smoothly from concept to completion.

Position Overview


The

Operations Manager

will oversee day-to-day business operations across both our design and construction divisions. This role bridges creative and technical teams--ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and experience managing people, schedules, and processes in the design-build or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities



Manage daily operations across design and construction teams to ensure efficiency and coordination. Develop, implement, and improve operational systems, processes, and best practices. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Handle month-end responsibilities including payment reconciliation, updating tracking sheets, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. Oversee accounts payable--reviewing, approving, and paying all invoices to ensure accuracy and alignment with project budgets. Coordinate with designers, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain workflow and communication. Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and procurement oversight. Support strategic planning, financial forecasting, and long-term growth initiatives.

Qualifications



5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in design, construction, or related industries. Strong understanding of residential construction workflows and project management principles. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities. Proficiency in project management and business tools (e.g., Asana, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Google Suite). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience) an asset

Salary:


Starts at $50 000 per year, or more depending on qualifications and experience
