Job Description

Our client in the chemicals industry is seeking a permanent, full-time Operations Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be overseeing the warehouse and chemicals department for the company. The ideal candidate will have strong forklift experience, familiarity and knowledge of chemicals, and be a motivated self-starter which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Delta, BC
Pay Range: $115k to $160k per year (commensurate on experience)

What\xe2\x80\x99s the Job?

• Oversee warehouse environment, as well as safe and correct handling, transporting, and moving chemicals around the facility.
• General operational duties as required including: obtaining permits from the city, ensuring safety standards, chemical transportation, chemical calculus, etc.
• Adhere to high safety standards in handling chemicals, must be able to respond efficiently to any emergencies accordingly.
• Effectively communicate with suppliers, staff members, and stakeholders.
• Will be training under current Manager in place and eventually be taking over full scope of his duties.
• Able to be flexible and learn different aspects of the business, as needed.

What\xe2\x80\x99s Needed?

• Chemical or Mechanical Engineering background is preferred.
• Experience with forklift operation is required.
• Self-motived, driven, and quick thinker. Ability to be diligent and respond to issues in a quick manner.
• Ability to do chemical calculus is an asset.
• Must be able to lead by example and unafraid to be hands on.
