Reporting to the President and General manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and inventory for the production of Medical Gas Systems. Daily facilitation of collaborative efforts between various departments including Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Finance, and Human Resources will be essential for success within this position. The Operations Manager will steer toward an overall goal of Operational Excellence using Atlas Copco\xe2\x80\x99s roadmap of continuous improvement KPIs. Responsibilities
Creation and execution of operating objectives, cost reduction, and continuous improvement opportunities
Accountable for P&L and budget performance for operations
Build and lead a high performing team to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service across all operational departments including supply chain, production, and logistics
Formulates, develops, implements, and measures utilization, quality, delivery, and safety KPIs
Develop and drive operational initiatives around 5S, standard work, and process improvement systems using Atlas Copco\xe2\x80\x99s Lean principles
Facilitate and participate in regular production meetings to review scheduling and backlog constraints and facilitate solutions
Participate and represent Operations in all new product implementation projects run in a timely manner and to customer specifications
Support safety and quality initiatives to meet ISO MDSAP 13485 & 9001 mandates as well as Class 1\xe2\x80\x99s Type II medical device license and medical device establishment license
Manage the reporting, investigation, and updates for safety related items for all Production activities and premises
Manage inventory to coincide with production activity and ensure optimal levels
Identify root causes for safety, quality, and delivery deviations and implement actions plans to address deficiencies
Key contact for escalated complaints for operational issues and customer complaints
Oversee every aspect of Facility Management in regard to maintenance, upkeep, and leasing
SAP ERP approvals and process flows for items pertaining to production, supply chain, and logistics

Participate in and manage the completion of employee performance and development review process in your reporting areas on an annual basis

Location and Travel
Based in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
Periodic travel outside of Canada and/or continental North America may be required for training

The Operations Manager will demonstrate an ability to develop and foster strong cross-functional relationships and bridge communication gaps to ensure optimal team performance. Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related discipline (Business Administration, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
Minimum of five (5) years combined work experience in the following related areas in manufacturing: supply chain management, planning, procurement, operations, quality, engineering
Minimum 1 year working with SAP or similar ERP system
May require clearance of a vulnerable sector criminal sector background check
Knowledge
Strong understanding of ERP Software (SAP preferred)
Proficient in MS Office Suite
CSA Z7396.1 knowledge as it pertains to medical gas applications
Knowledge of pressure systems and vessels, piped medical gas systems and associated equipment is strongly preferred
Previous experience with medical device licensing, and ISO MDSAP 13485 & 9001 regulations (especially auditing procedures)
