Role Overview
We're seeking a driven
Operations Manager
to oversee and optimize daily production activities--quoting, scheduling, fabrication workflow, and team coordination. You'll work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure every project meets quality, cost, and delivery expectations. This is a leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and the willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across fabrication, welding, and machining departments (laser, CNC, TIG, robotic welding, additive).
Support and execute quoting, flat-pattern generation, and part file preparation for laser/CNC operations.
Schedule and prioritize jobs to maximize workflow efficiency and on-time delivery.
Monitor production output and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase throughput.
Lead and mentor team members--building a culture of accountability, quality, and pride in workmanship.
Collaborate with design/engineering to review manufacturability and resolve production bottlenecks.
Manage shipping logistics, inventory, and job tracking.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Jump in hands-on when needed--run equipment, assist with setups, or support urgent projects.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing operations (preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors).
Strong background in laser cutting, CNC machining, TIG and robotic welding, and related workflows.
Proficient in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar).
Understanding of ERP systems (ProShop understanding is an asset)
Experience in quoting, job costing, and workflow optimization.
Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Practical problem-solver with a "get it done" mentality--no divas, no egos.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Experience and understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 standards an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$98,000.00 per year
