About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager
to oversee
Manufacturing and Quality functions
within an advanced CNC machining environment. This role is central to driving operational excellence, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring the consistent delivery of mission-critical aerospace and nuclear components.
The Operations Manager will combine
mechanical engineering expertise, aerospace/machining experience, and proven leadership skills
to optimize processes, lead teams, and uphold the highest quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership for
Manufacturing and Quality operations
, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Oversee CNC machining operations and quality inspection teams, aligning goals and resources to meet customer requirements.
Develop and execute production strategies that achieve on-time delivery, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with
AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, and CSA N299
standards across operations.
Drive cross-functional collaboration between
Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Supply Chain
.
Establish and monitor KPIs, using data-driven analysis to improve productivity and quality outcomes.
Champion employee training, development, and succession planning, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Lead root cause investigations, corrective action processes, and support customer audits as required.
Implement lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives to strengthen competitiveness and efficiency.
Act as the senior liaison between shop-floor operations and executive leadership.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree
or equivalent technical background.
Minimum
10+ years of leadership experience
in aerospace machining and manufacturing.
Strong track record managing
cross-functional teams
across manufacturing and quality functions.
Hands-on experience in CNC machining processes and precision measurement.
In-depth knowledge of
aerospace and nuclear industry standards
(AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, CSA N299).
Proven success in driving operational improvements, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact effectively with both shop-floor teams and executive stakeholders.
