Our team is growing, and we are looking for a self-motivated person who possesses strong organizational skills and a passion/experience in logistics, site management and administrative support. The ideal candidate would possess a strong customer service focus and be extremely detailed oriented. Reporting to Director of Business Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating equipment shipping and travel logistics for Eventcorp\xe2\x80\x99s projects across Canada and the USA. The position will entail developing and implementing smooth and efficient processes and be a key to keeping business operations running effectively. The position will also require performing site management duties at various events, from sports to concerts to festivals, where we setup, operate and takedown our data collection equipment. For larger events, the Operations Coordinator will also be tasked with recruiting additional site management contractors. Outside of logistics and operations, the successful candidate will also contribute to reporting and administrative tasks as required. This position can be remote, but will require travel, site work and office work as needed. Frequency of travel and site-work is dependent on the season. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organization and multi-tasking abilities. An ideal candidate is self-motivated, willing to collaborate with coworkers and is able to execute a variety of tasks. Specific Competencies Must be able to work under pressure. Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment, make decisions, show initiative and take responsibility for situations when required. Exhibit the ability to work effectively in teams demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external contacts. Comfortable with driving a variety of vehicles and carrying equipment. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the shipping of equipment to project sites to ensure they arrive in a timely manner
  • Liaise with clients and logistics companies as required
  • Preparation of data collection equipment and materials for shipping and field placement
  • Travel to events and perform site management duties as required
  • For local events, coordinate the rental of vehicles (e.g. cargo van), preparation and loading of equipment, driving vehicle to transport equipment to projects sites, set up equipment and perform site management duties
  • Monitor operations of data collection kiosk locations; perform periodic cleaning of equipment and troubleshoot as required
  • Manage daily remote site data transfer (electronic transmission of batched response data to Eventcorp server)
  • Assist in producing the data analysis report in Excel, Word, Power Point format, printing/binding, proofreading
  • Various project-related tasks as required
  • Additional duties as required, e.g. administration
Qualifications
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Extraordinary \xe2\x80\x9cpeople-skills,\xe2\x80\x9d i.e. ability to quickly establish positive rapport with clients and co-workers
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Writing composition skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, i.e. weekends, evenings, holidays
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds of equipment
  • Knowledge in secondary language (Mandarin/Spanish/French) is an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Have valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to own car (required)
  • Comfortable driving larger vehicles (e.g. cargo van)
