Fitset Ninja is a leading ninja obstacle training organization with thriving locations in Edmonton and Calgary, AB, and we're growing fast. This summer, we're launching an exciting pop-up location in Kelowna, BC, marking the first step toward establishing a permanent presence in the Okanagan. Our long-term vision is bold:

What Will You Be Doing?



This is a full-time, seasonal role supporting the launch and daily operations of Fitset Ninja Kelowna. As part of the local leadership team, you will help lead and deliver our Mobile Obstacle Course (MOC) programs in May and June and serve as the on-site operational lead for Summer Camps in July and August. You'll train and support coaches, coach within programs, and ensure all activities run safely, smoothly, and with high energy. This role also supports day-to-day facility operations, including staff scheduling, program execution, and assisting with recruitment and performance management, while following operational plans set by the Fitset Ninja leadership team.

This position is ideal for an emerging leader who is excited to take on responsibility, gain hands-on leadership experience, and play a key role in launching Fitset Ninja in Kelowna.

Roles & Responsibilities



General Responsibilities

Model and reinforce Fitset Ninja's mission, values, and safety culture Assist with staff scheduling and time off requests and ensure accurate timesheet submissions Maintain facility and equipment standards Provide exceptional customer service to parents and participants Provide constructive feedback to coaches to elevate performance Support part-time hiring efforts for summer roles Help implement consistent staff training and program standards Manage small operational budgets (supplies, concessions) Offer suggestions to improve operations and customer experience Work closely with Fitset Ninja HQ on program execution of SOP
Mobile Obstacle Course (MOC) - May & June

Travel with the mobile unit to schools and event sites Lead onsite setup, takedown, equipment checks, and safety protocols Train and oversee MOC coaches Participate in coaching and demonstrations Support U-Haul logistics Ensure exceptional customer experience at each school event Complete daily operational checklists and incident reports
Summer Camps - July & August

Oversee summer camp operations and follow SOPs Serve as the on-site Camp Lead for our Kelowna pop-up location Step in to coach when needed (sickness, staffing gaps, high-attendance days) Ensure safe equipment operation and facility readiness Lead daily team huddles and end-of-week debriefs Collect parent and coach feedback

Qualifications



Prior athletic experience and experience working with children Proven leadership capabilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to lift, carry, and move obstacle equipment (up to 50 lbs) and be on your feet for most of the day Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C (or willing to obtain within 3 months) Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (prior to start) Completion of Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders (within 1 month of hire) Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to drive 25 ft. uhaul truck
