Job Overview
The Operations Lead will be responsible for the full production and installation lifecycle of a novel heat reclaiming platform designed for the food service industry. The position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the fabrication facility and restaurant installation programs to ensure a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to eventually lead a team of operations personnel. This includes optimizing production and tasks related to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The successful candidate will ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and policies. The Operations Lead works in close collaboration with the other members of the team to ensure a consistently high level of quality and productivity. This position will report to the COO.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage operational processes and systems to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
Plan, organize, and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production targets and on-time deliveries
Monitor and evaluate operational performance and lead data-driven continuous improvements to maintain quality standards
Monitor and manage inventory level of parts and supplies
Develop and implement policies and procedures
Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment
Maintain production schedules and make adjustments to ensure on-time delivery
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, safety regulations and company policies
Provide technical support and training to other technicians and operators
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
Manage the day-to-day shop floor operations and on-site installation programs
Develop and manage operational budgets, cost controls, and production metrics
Qualifications
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial technology, or related field preferred
Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proven knowledge of production and CNC machinery and equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Solid understanding of operational processes and systems
Able to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast moving start-up environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Excellent leadership skills
Experience in commercial construction execution is a strong asset
