Job Description

At Sash + Bustle we strive to create a personalized shopping experience to suit the needs of every individual client. This role is intended to provide students with an immersive paid learning opportunity in operations in the fashion industry with the potential for a permeant role. Your main role as the Operations Intern is to work in tandem with our Operations Manager and Operations Assistant to represent our standard store and gown operations, as well as client experience.

Shipping and receiving bridal gowns and following up with clients on their special orders Receiving packages and deliveries, quality checking garments and contacting clients to pick up in a timely manner Help prepare shipments by printing labels and packaging orders Tag new inventory and learn how to identify styles, fabrics, trims, and construction details Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise, accessories and giftware Support general organization and upkeep of product storage areas and overall shop maintenance

What we are looking for...

You thrive in an intimate and fast-paced environment and are very confident when working alone. You pride yourself in having professional communication skills and are able to confidently handle quality control and inventory/stock supply adeptly. You have an interest in learning more about bridal fashion and the world of operations. You are a true self-starter who is patient, organized and takes pride in being able to multi-task. You enjoy working for a small independent business and have motivation to contribute and improve your workplace.

You'll need to have:

Highschool Diploma or equivalent Current Enrollment in a Post-Secondary fashion related program Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive and judgment free space where all people feel welcomed
Even better if you have:

Experience working in high end retail Passion for weddings

You will be meeting people and families during a very special time in their lives and you will be the first impression and face that our clients meet. You will be educating clients as well as empowering stylists and brides alike to have successful appointments. Sash + Bustle is a fast paced professional environment where you can be creative and put your social media skills to great use!

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Secondary School (required)

Fashion retail: 1 year (preferred)
