The Opportunity

Hawks Agro is seeking a dependable, hands-on Operations Assistant to join our team at our Neville, Saskatchewan location. This role plays an important part in supporting day-to-day site operations, ensuring products, equipment, and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Operations Assistant is a practical, boots-on-the-ground role that supports customers, site operations, and seasonal demands. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in doing things right, and values being part of a close-knit team.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is proactive, safety-focused, and eager to learn within the agriculture industry.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily site operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Complete customer product deliveries in a safe and timely manner Assist customers with loading oil, crop protection products, welding tanks, and feed supply products Support fuel site maintenance, including weekly site monitoring and checks Load propane in accordance with safety standards and procedures Perform general vehicle maintenance and upkeep Load, unload, organize, and maintain product storage within the warehouse Travel between sites and work extended hours during peak seasons as required Safely lift materials ranging from 50 to 100 pounds

Qualifications and Experience

Valid Class 5 driver's license is required. A Class 1 or Class 3 license is considered an asset, along with a clean driver's abstract Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to become trained Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high safety standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset Willingness to learn new technologies, products, and agronomic practices Basic computer skills, including the ability to use the MS Office Suite Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute as part of a team
