Operations And Project Coordinator

Richmond, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

We're a custom architectural metal fabrication shop specializing in high-end residential and

commercial projects. We design and build stairs, railings, planters, wall panels, and custom

metal features that combine craftsmanship and precision.

We're looking for someone to become the

right hand to the owner

-- a detail-driven,

organized problem solver who can help keep jobs moving, organize the details, and bring

structure to a busy and creative shop.

What You'll Do

Coordinate fabrication jobs -- confirming materials, drawings, and details are ready
before production.

Source and order materials and supplies for both quoting and active projects. Communicate with shop staff to ensure priorities are clear and questions are answered. Track progress of jobs and organize updates, deliveries, and scheduling. Compile daily notes and updates from site visits, drawings, and client discussions. Help build and improve internal systems for quoting, organization, and workflow. Support the owner directly by organizing tasks, follow-ups, and weekly planning.
What We're Looking For

3+ years experience in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing project coordination. Strong organizational and follow-through skills -- you like structure and checklists. Comfortable communicating with tradespeople, clients, and suppliers. Able to read and understand shop drawings. Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and project tracking tools like
Trello.

A problem-solver who can anticipate what needs to be done and take initiative. Calm under pressure and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
About You

You love bringing order to chaos. You enjoy taking a jumble of notes, sketches, and ideas and

turning them into clear next steps. You're assertive enough to follow up when something's

unclear, but positive and easy to work with. You want to be part of a growing company and

play a key role in helping it scale. This role is designed to

grow into an Operations Manager / Integrator position

--

someone who helps lead the shop and office operations so the owner can focus on clients,

design, and installations.

What We Offer

A hands-on role in a creative and fast-paced environment. Opportunity to grow into a leadership position as systems and staff expand. A small, close-knit team where your ideas make an immediate impact. Competitive pay based on experience.
