GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Titan is searching for an enthusiastic, solutions-driven individual to work closely with our operations team by playing a key role in preparing cost estimates by analyzing proposals and project requirements to identify labor, materials, and time requirements. You will have a thorough understanding of surface water and groundwater resources, excellent organizational and project management skills, and a passion for business development. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Estimating
    • Review client proposals, specifications, and related documents to identify requirements to complete projects
    • Design water transfer system to deliver client specified requests.
    • Work with sales and operations team to prepare estimates and bids for clients.
    • Maintain the cost database.
    • Review projects operational and financial results upon completion.
  • Reporting
    • Reporting flowmeter data to both client and AER through WURS reporting system.
    • Tracking and organizing job details and information into database.
  • Regulations/Standards
    • Monitor environmental elements and operations regarding water delivery, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
    • Remain current with evolving water management practices and technology.
    • Serve as an aid, for sales purchasing decisions, development of new processes, and community activity.
  • Business development
    • Proposal preparation, and professional leadership activities.
    • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Meet with clients to develop new planning strategies and ensure customer satisfaction by providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Other
    • Ad hoc support and other duties as required


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in Business Administration or Project Management is considered an asset. A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years in an estimating role or related field work with a strong desire to learn.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract is required.
  • Industry professional, able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of business.
  • Advanced ability with computer applications such as Microsoft systems (Excel, Word, Adobe PDF) and cloud-based applications such as Dropbox.
  • Strong project management skills from inception, planning to completion, with a demonstrable problem-solving ability needed to revise plans based on changing priorities to ensure commitments are met.
  • Sound understanding of Alberta and British Columbia oil and gas legislation and water usage regulations.
  • Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization and with the external stakeholders.
  • Sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills with a team-based approach to managing relationships.
  • Passionate about business and dissatisfaction with the status quo – always looking for opportunities for process improvement.

This job is based out of the Head Office in Calgary, AB, however, the successful candidate will be comfortable going to the field to assist with operations from time to time.
