We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, Smithers, and Calgary, AB.The Red Chris Supply & Logistics team is now recruiting for an Operational Excellence Lead with a competitive base salary between $110,000.00 - $130,000.00. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity.We are seeking an individual for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation. Please note there is potential for this role to evolve into an 8-days-on, 6-days-off rotation, in the future.Purpose of the RoleThe Operational Excellence Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply and Logistics Department. This role focuses on analyzing current processes, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement methodologies and a proven track record of successfully leading projects that enhance operational efficiency.AccountabilitiesProcess Analysis and Improvement

  • Analyze current warehouse processes to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement (Goods Receipt / Goods Issue / Put away / OS&D).
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Regional Inventory Management team to identify and implement best in class processes.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of process changes to ensure they achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Project Management
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams across departments to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate employees on process improvement techniques.
  • Develop project plans, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve goals.
Documentation and Standardization
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all process improvement initiatives.
  • Standardize processes across the organization to ensure consistency and compliance where possible.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect best practices.
Performance Metrics:
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for further improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project outcomes and performance metrics.
Cost Reduction:
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and monitor their impact on overall performance.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to negotiate better terms and optimize inventory levels.
  • Training and Development:
  • Develop training programs to educate staff on process improvement techniques and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and the sharing of ideas.
Compliance and Quality:
  • Ensure that all improvement initiatives comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain a focus on quality, ensuring that process changes do not negatively impact product or service quality.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to new processes and identify areas for further refinement.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, and driving process improvements
Certifications:
  • Red Seal Partsperson or Degree in Supply Chain Management, or similar
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Proven track record of leading successful process improvement projects
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in SAP data analysis and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
