About the Role





The Asset Excellence Specialist applies technical expertise, operational experience, and strong business acumen to solve complex problems, manage critical interfaces, shape and deliver asset strategies, and provide clear, actionable data driven performance insights that accelerates improvement.



This role is perfect for someone who thrives on inspiring and working with teams to push boundaries and drive meaningful progress toward ambitious business goals.



Is primarily responsible to:


Focal Point for Digital Twin interfacing with Production Operations and Maintenance organizations to drive ESP & PME process integration and Digital Twin improvements Facilitate deepening of Asset Management System (AMS) processes within asset organization by providing focused support on key strategic AMS processes and deployment of a governance framework that enables fast learning loops Custodian of AMS process council Coordination Empower asset performance culture by curating value enhancing insights and partnering with teams and SPO/SPFP's to identify, develop and deploy gap closure initiatives Support robust integrated forward looking, risk and opportunity-based decisions and prioritization through effective implementation of MTO, IAP and AIP processes Support Asset Performance Excellence through leading the joint LNGC and Shell extended support teams in the development, and delivery of the LNG Canada Asset improvement and change initiatives and enabling TQ performance with a future forward data centric and digital approach. Support the transition to SEAM standards (once stable operations is achieved)

You will use your expertise to:



Digital Twin


Lead development, integration and governance of LNGC's Digital Twin funnel ensuring alignment with Operations and Maintenance objectives and priorities to deliver robust support and Digital Twin reliability improvements through effective problem solving/troubleshooting issues Champion cross-functional collaboration between Digital Twin vendor, Operations, Maintenance, production support, data science, IT, technology and engineering to support capability development and embed Digital Twin insights into daily workflows to facilitate effective ESP and PME process execution Drive innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to expand digital twin capabilities (AI, robotics, automation, data visualization) while establishing KPIs, assurance processes and change management practices that maximize adoption and measurable business impact




Asset Management System (AMS) & Assurance


Drive embedding of Asset Management Systems and the custodian of AMS process council Coordination Lead process effectiveness reviews and health checks to assess process gaps and partner with Site Process Owners and Site Process Focal Points to drive improvement initiatives whiles leveraging insights to provide input into the Annual Assurance plan Champion Conduct Assurance (as the owner of the site assurance plan and maintaining the Annual Assurance Plan) by enhancing interfaces with Integrated Activity Planning, MTO, and Monitor and Improve Performance AMS processes




Enabling Asset Gap to Potential


Dynamically lead value improving projects or initiatives to mitigate threats, risks, or realize pursuing opportunities, leveraging short-term MTO and Risk Management processes Lead teams through solving problems in AMS delivery and Asset SURU leveraging continuous improvement methodologies Manage elements of the Monitor and Improve Performance process and partner with Asset Leadership Team (ALT) to drive top quartile availability




Integration & Coordination


Support planning and coordination of the extended ALT monthly meeting, ensuring that the scope and objectives are aligned with the intent of fostering integration and collaboration of the extended Asset Leadership Team Responsible to collaboratively work across entire Asset organization to set the foundation and collate inputs required for Joint Venture Partner (JVP) communication Support and interface with all teams through Start-up and Ramp-Up in Kitimat as needed - complex problem solving and plant troubleshooting/improvement campaigns

To be successful, you will have:



15+ years of industrial work process experience working within, or closely in partnership to day-to-day operations in a complex downstream manufacturing, upstream gas, or LNG asset Technical Degree in surface Engineering disciplines with a strong business, technical and commercial acumen. Experienced Production Operations with experience managing integration across Operations and Business Functions Strong affinity with planning, process management (AMS)and reporting; LEAN experience is not required, but will be beneficial An insatiable thirst to learn, grow, develop oneself, and inspire teams to continuously advance business objectives beyond traditional norms in Assets Demonstrable experience of coaching and influencing to delivering results through others with excellent people management skills. Experienced in programmatic change, improvement initiatives, and projects of varying complexity Professional, pragmatic and solutions focused approach to delivery of standards, programs, and bottom-line results Ability to simplify and communicate complex information effectively to multiple stakeholders with varying degrees of understanding. A humble presence with a focus on celebrating team delivery A resiliency towards, and finds energy from change, challenge, and leading teams in finding a path through the unexpected Strong leadership, communication, integration and delivery skills. Ability to cross strategic thinking and operationalizing the plan. Learning and adapting on the job will be required to assure the planning risks and opportunities are identified and actioned. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Project, Power BI will be required to be successful.

This role requires that you:




Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)

The role can be based in Kitimat, BC or

You can reside in Calgary, AB and MUST have the flexibility to travel to

Kitimat, BC 1-2 weeks per month

. Are willing to comply with LNGC's drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures. Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs. Preference for a professional engineer with ability to be registered in Alberta and/or BC. Must have a valid Driver's License
