The salary range for this position is CAD $29.40/Hr. - CAD $29.40/Hr.Job SummaryCome work as an Operating Room (OR) Booking/Slating Clerk with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an OR Booking/Slating Clerk to support the Operating Room team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC. Apply today to join our team!As an OR Booking/Slating Clerk with VCH you will:

• Work in a team based environment and play a significant role in ensuring that the overall surgical booking and slating requirements are met.
• Apply critical thinking and uses current knowledge of procedure protocols and computerized systems to schedule and assign the daily procedural bookings.
• Duties include:

• identifying available booking options,
• preparing and editing preliminary Operating Room slate,
• completing and distributing final slate to designated areas,
• compiling, maintaining and distributing designated operative statistical information and surgical waitlists,
• ordering office supplies, typing and filing correspondence.
• Act to support the delivery of patient care and to ensure patients and/or their family have a positive experience with the designated services.

Sechelt Hospital provides a full range of services to the community, including Emergency care, Renal program-community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services.QualificationsEducation & Experience

• Grade 12, three years\' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
