Our state of the art surgical center is an accredited ICHSC and an Out of Hospital Premises Program with deep roots in the community of Mississauga. Our surgical team performs cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures on an outpatient basis - days only, no nights, possible 12-hour shifts. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated OR Nurse RN/RPN for scrubbing and circulating in the OR and for assisting with minor procedures. This role requires compassion, excellent patient care skills, the ability to work collaboratively with exceptional team members in a fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing:

Assisting physicians with surgeries (both major surgeries such as breast augmentations and reductions, rhinoplasties, facelifts, etc., and minor procedures such as mole removal); Assisting in suturing, suture removal and the application of dressings; Starting IVs and administer medications; Assisting with post-operative recovery; Scrubbing and set up sterile equipment for surgical procedures; Maintaining surgical equipment and supplies Using Nextech and Telus Health EMR Staying current in the aesthetic field by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks; Some 12 hour shifts may be required.

What you need for this position:

You MUST have Operating Room experience or be a recent graduate of a peri-operative course. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills; High level of professionalism and care in personal presentation; Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate patient and clinic needs; Ability to work as part of a team and establish cooperative working relationships with administrators, physicians, and peers; Goal oriented demeanor.
