Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Renovation/Construction handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across residential or commercial properties. This role offers an opportunity to utilize a broad skill set to ensure properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance needs.

Duties

Perform renovation/construction work in drywall, plastering, painting, tiles and carpentry Install or replace appliances, fixtures, and hardware as required Assist with painting, carpentry, and general maintenance person tasks to improve property appearance and functionality Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or property managers Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used

Requirements

Proven experience as a construction person or in a similar renovation role Strong knowledge of interior construction and renovations Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is advantageous Must have WSIB and WHMIS certificates.
