On Site Safety Advisor (6 Week Contract)

Job Summary:



Reporting to the HSE Director, the Safety Advisor is responsible for managing safety on the jobsite, ensuring compliance with company, client, and governmental safety regulations. This position ensures that all employees and subcontractors are trained and equipped to perform their jobs safely, while also maintaining compliance with local and federal environmental requirements. The ideal candidate will implement a proactive safety program that engages all levels of employees and promotes a safety culture in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide expert guidance to jobsite superintendents on safe work practices and regulatory compliance. Address safety concerns in the field, keeping ICT management and clients informed when necessary. Ensure full compliance with International Cooling Tower's safety policies, client requirements, and relevant government regulations. Conduct safety training to ensure employees follow best practices and adhere to daily safety protocols. Oversee pre-employment safety training and maintain accurate safety training records for all employees. Perform daily safety inspections, lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings, and enforce safe work procedures. Inspect and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring compliance with manufacturer instructions and enforcing lockout/tagout procedures. Investigate and report work-related injuries or accidents and ensure proper follow-up measures are implemented. Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure proper chemical hazard controls are in place. Enforce the company's 100% fall protection policy and ensure proper use of safety equipment at all times.

Education & Experience:



High School Diploma or GED. 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume construction environment. 3-5 years of safety experience is preferred. CRSP/CRST or NCSO certification required Effective communication, professionalism, and integrity. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven. Ability to travel as needed.
