Description
Position: Onshore Labourer
Employment Type: Full Time; Contract
Start Date: ASAP until approx October 2025. Potential for permanent position
JOB SUMMARY: Help and Assist with inspection of lifting equipment.
PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous laborer experience required
- Forklift Certificate considered an asset
- Hard Working and Dependable
- Strong Safety Background
- Basic PPE (safety boots, coveralls, hard hat, work gloves, safety glasses, rain gear, etc)
- Must pass Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
- Assist with inspection of lifting equipment, place lifting equipment in rigging lofts
- Perform housekeeping duties as instructed
- Assist with pulling out wire rope casing slings, coiling wire rope casing slings into baskets
- Ensure all tools and equipment are stowed appropriately at the end of each shift to avoid safety hazards for other operations
- Actively participate in the safety programs within the company
- Actively participate in safety, departmental, pre-tour, client meetings, etc.
- Monitor the environmental conditions to ensure the safety of operations in the facility or work area
- Ensure that approved operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor
- Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed in the facility or work area
- Other duties as assigned
