We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with extensive experience in restaurant management, food preparation, and customer service. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
Manage and train staff in areas such as customer service, food handling, and cash handling.
Supervise daily activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Implement and maintain operational procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and safety.
Conduct interviews and hire new team members while fostering a culture of hospitality and teamwork.
Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cash management.
Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to optimize profitability.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Touch Bistro POS is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Previous supervisory experience is essential; Extensive wine knowledge is a definite asset.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
