RCAP Leasing is a subsidiary of RBC that offers leasing services for various sectors and equipment suppliers. As an Onboarding Officer, you work as part of a team to establish and maintain a control infrastructure to mitigate risk to RBC and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and RBC policies.
What will you do?
Administration of compliance on-boarding and monitoring functions including Know Your Client (KYC) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) for new and existing clients
Assist in the maintenance of documentation, appropriate recordkeeping, and due diligence in accordance with RBC and regulatory requirements
Execute routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, client enquiries etc. within relevant service level agreements
Coordinate with internal partners such as Front, Middle and Back Office staff to obtain required information and applicable documentation related to client on-boarding and KYC production and ensure adequate due diligence process is carried out for client accounts and documentation reviews
Identify data anomalies and red flags for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations, and escalate for second level review
Assist Onboarding Manager on reportable events, breaches and other instances of non-compliance as well as remedial action steps related to the Company's compliance requirements
Stay up-to-date with knowledge of compliance and risk management matters
Identifying and resolve process gaps and provide advice and proactive support to keep business partners informed on issues relating to risk, control, and compliance
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other related software
Nice-to have:
Bilingual communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English
Previous banking experience and familiarity with AML/KYC
