Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare professional to join our team as on call educator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with children in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development. A strong background in early childhood education and experience working with diverse groups of children is essential.

Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that foster childhood development. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and nap time supervision. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children. Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere for both children and staff. Assist in the development of individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities.

Skills

Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred. Skills in classroom management and creating engaging learning environments. First aid certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanor in a busy environment. Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
