Position Objectives:

To plan, design, and oversee the construction of NLD fiber optic networks, ensuring quality, safety, and timely project delivery in compliance with industry standards.

& Responsibilities:

Key interface with Network Planning to support the technical requirements of all Planning documents

Design and plan OSP fiber routes for long-haul and metro networks, including underground and aerial pathways.

Prepare and review civil engineering drawings, fiber layouts, and route survey reports.

Conduct site surveys, route assessments, and feasibility studies to determine optimal fiber paths.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors for trenching, ducting, manhole installation, and reinstatement.

Ensure compliance with local codes, utility regulations, and safety standards.

Manage permitting processes and interface with municipalities and utility authorities.

Prepare and validate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for civil works.

Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and safety requirements.

Support as-built documentation, network handover, and maintenance readiness.

Collaborate with the network design and operations teams to ensure seamless fiber deployment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Minimum 10 years of telecommunication experience in OSP design and engineering positions.

Must have knowledge of OSP work, related processes and industry best practices

Must have working knowledge of market-leading OSP design tools (Hexagon, Intergraph, or similar).

Excellent knowledge of the English language

Must have international experience from developed markets.
