Our client is seeking a Dual Ticket Red Seal Plumber & Oil Burner Mechanic to join their team in Nunavut. This role is essential in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical infrastructure in a remote setting. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, safety-conscious, and experienced in plumbing and oil heating systems. This position operates on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off, with 10-hour shifts per day. Travel expenses are covered, and the expected yearly salary with all shifts completed is approximately $106,000 per year. Hourly rate is $50/hr.What you will be doing:

• Install, service, and maintain oil-burning heating systems, including boilers, furnaces, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other trades such as electricians, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance personnel.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on plumbing systems, including potable water, sewage, and drainage infrastructure.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute maintenance and installation tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements.
• Participate in safety training, emergency response drills, and company-led safety initiatives.
• Handle and dispose of fuel and other materials in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time.

What you must have:

• Red Seal Journeyperson Certification in Plumbing and Certification in Oil Burner Mechanic (OBM) (Dual Ticket).
• A minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, preferably in a remote or northern environment.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills for both plumbing and oil heating systems.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, particularly in industrial or remote settings.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex systems with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in harsh weather conditions and adapting to remote work environments.
• Valid drivers license.
• Availability to work rotational shifts and extended hours when necessary.
