Job Description

This position will focus on coordinating the reporting of expenses functions to the Office of the Integrity Commissioner.


Provide administrative support to the Director Corporate Controllership in the administration of the day-to-day activities and special projects of the offices, co-ordination of divisional responsibilities and by providing research and background information necessary to facilitate executive action and decision making.


Major Responsibilities:



Co-ordinate mandatory reporting to the Office of the Integrity Commissioner (OIC) by reviewing expense reports enterprise wide on a quarterly basis; identifying any expense gaps/variances; preparing and maintaining OIC filings; responding to and following up on OIC inquiries, as well as redirecting inquiries as appropriate. Designs and prepares training materials to address expense gaps. Responsible for posting and monitoring OIC findings on the WSIB website required. Act as a central point of contact in dealing with a range of issues/complaints and requests for information from internal and external clients and vendors in person, by telephone or written correspondence, researching the issue, determining possible solutions, preparing written comprehensive summary reports and executive correspondence to respond to external client's/organization's inquiries and presenting details with recommendations. Act as a liaison or client contact to facilitate effective and efficient communication between the divisions/units and other areas of the WSIB, and to resolve or expedite issues and complaints. Respond to or provide general information on programs, services, corporate strategies and initiatives. Facilitate the timely submission of material and scheduling with respect to Executive and Board Committees. Participate on committees and in various in-house projects or studies to facilitate action and/or decision making relative to cluster/divisional/branch initiatives, business needs and activities or HR issues which may include research and gathering of background information, as required. Plan and execute logistics and special events as required which may include quarterly divisional meetings, conferences, and related events. Liaise with facilities planning and I.S. on issues relating to staff movement and change such as floor design, furniture and lighting requirements, computer hardware and software requirements, security access issues, health and safety issues, in order to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the unit. Develop and maintain cluster/divisional/branch SharePoint Site by ensuring that all contact information and outlines are up-to-date, ensuring that all libraries (document, links, etc.) are updated and fully functioning.

Job Requirements:



Completion of an Undergraduate Business Administration degree in business, finance, or accounting. 5 years related experience in business/finance environment including expense reporting, office administration, etc. Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Excellent attention to detail in written deliverables and clear verbal communication skills Ability to build constructive and effective relationships, work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
