Working Title: Offshore Stewardship, ESS Federal Fleet/ Asterix
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary: $61KBenefits: Available from day 1, and travel to site and home
Address: Offshore via Victoria and, Halifax NS B4A 2Z2Requirements:

  • All candidates must hold valid Canadian passport and certificates at the time of application
  • STCW PSC (Proficiency in Survival Craft)
  • STCW Basic Safety
  • STCW Marine Advanced First Aid
  • STCW Ships Personnel with Designated Security Duties
  • Marine Medical
The following are an asset:
  • Ships\' Cook Certificate of Competency certification

We work with clients in the oil and gas, mining, construction, coastal logging, military and defense sectors. Coverage is as diverse as offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, to coastal logging camps in B.C., to construction camps in the Alberta Oil Sands. Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities.Job SummaryHow you will make an impact:
You will participates in the daily operation within the accommodations and catering unit.Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of food handling and food preparation
  • General principals of housekeeping and janitorial duties
  • Excellent people skills & Team Player
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised or unsupervised
  • Camp kitchen experience is an asset
  • Ensure good order and maintenance of all equipment by immediately reporting any deficiencies to supervisors
About you:
  • Janitorial and/or housekeeping experience in hospitality, healthcare, and residential/commercial cleaning is an asset.
  • Capable of communicating in English (listening speaking, reading, writing) with clients, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the capacity to work long periods away from home, as the typical work rotation is twenty-one (42) consecutive 12-hour workdays, however this can be extended due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
