Canadian

passport Offshore experience is an asset

The following certifications will be required:

STCW PSC (Proficiency in Survival Craft) STCW Basic Safety STCW Marine Advanced First Aid STCW Ships Personnel with Designated Security Duties Marine Medical Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test Fingerprint Clearance will be required to move forward with position

New Hire Schedule:

12hr/Day, Rotation: 42 Days On/42 Days Off

How you will make an impact:



You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of meal service and managing the maintenance of guest cabins and all public areas on board the ship.

As a Ship Steward, you will:



Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of each room occupied and non-occupied. Communicate with customers about their demands and orders Assist with loading of luggage as directed Greet guests upon arrival and departure Maintain stocks of toiletries, towels, bed linens, blankets, and all other supplies for guests Help with dishwashing and galley cleaning chores, and assist with the removal of food refuse, glass and other kitchen waste to dumpster on deck Sweep and mop floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers

About you:



Knowledge of sanitation procedures, colour coding cleaning and correct chemicals used for cleaning Experience and/or training in the hospitality field considered a plus Effective communication skills Must be able to work unsupervised and to a fixed time of schedule Must be able to work under pressure
