Job Description

Reliance Offshore, a subsidiary of I. H. Mathers, has been providing trusted crewing services to global marine and oil & gas sectors since 1981. We are currently actively recruiting experienced Riggers for an upcoming offshore project aboard Technip Deep Explorer. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient handling of subsea equipment, supporting both diving and ROV operations.

Rigger

Key Responsibilities:



Candidates should indicate past experience and vessel names for the following:

Rigging and deployment of gear for Divers and ROVs, ensuring equipment is safely secured, appropriately marked (e.g., light sticks), and suitable for subsea operations

Safe operation of deck winches, cherry pickers, and other lifting equipment

Familiarity with project-specific systems including launching systems, tuggers, winches, and bolt tensioning equipment

Safe handling of flexible and umbilical product lay using equipment such as powered reels, caterpillar tensioners, Vertical Laying Spread (VLS), and carousels

Identify, inspect, and report equipment defects or safety concerns to supervisors

Assist with maintenance and repair of support equipment

Prepare and manage diving work basket loadouts

Operate deck support systems including air compressors, workstations, and tuggers

Experience in handling flexible product during mobilization or laydown operations

Mandatory Certifications & Requirements:



Valid Canadian Passport or Permanent Resident Status

Valid STCW'95 Basic Safety or Basic Survival Training

API Rigging Certification

Marine First Aid

WHMIS 2015 Certification

Transport Canada Seafarer's Medical

Transport Canada Seaman's Book

Willingness to undergo industry-required medical & drug assessments

Job Details:



Contract Duration: Seasonal

Rotation: 4-6 weeks on/off

Daily Pay Rate: $455

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Location: Offshore / Marine Environment
