Our Asset Integrity Management Team in St. John\'s, NL is now looking for Offshore QA/QC Inspectors - Piping & Mechanical on a temporary basis to support client work scopes, with an anticipated duration of one (1) year on a 21/21 rotation.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing inspection and testing activities on piping and mechanical systems and equipment within a brownfield offshore environment
  • Reading and interpreting technical documents including P&ID\'s, and isometric drawings, WPS, and relevant standards to ensure alignment with quality requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed inspection/test records and reports, clearly identifying the scope, defects/inconsistencies found and non-conformances in accordance with the client\'s inspection program.
  • Participating in the development of ITPs, performing/witnessing pressure tests, and other functional tests when required, to verify the performance and integrity of piping & mechanical systems.
  • Verifying material traceability, including reviewing material certificates, verifying/recording welds and heat numbers.
  • Performing visual weld inspection, dimensional verification, and weld mapping in accordance with welding inspection plans.
  • Participating in the investigation of non-conformances and corrective action resolution as required.
  • Ensuring that inspection equipment and tools are calibrated, maintained, and operated according to established procedures and standards to ensure accurate measurements and reliable results.
  • Complying with all client and regulatory codes, standards, and procedures in the execution of work
  • Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with HSSE policies and industry standards.
We think you should have:
  • Minimum of 5 years\' experience in an industrial brownfield environment, preferably within offshore oil and gas.
  • CSA W178.2 Level 2 Visual Inspector with API 650/653 code endorsement
  • Ability to successfully complete mandatory safety training, drug and alcohol screening, medical, and meet all qualifications required for work and travel offshore.
  • Ability to work a 21-day rotational schedule in a remote offshore location
  • Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Additional certifications such as NACE Level 2, API 653, API 510 and/ or API 570, IRATA is considered an asset.
