Our Offshore Project team are currently looking for an Offshore Piping & Mechanical Lead to join their amazing team! This position will be based in our St. John's office with casual business trips to Ingleside, TX and transition Offshore Newfoundland for the completion of project scope.What will you be doing?

  • Execute and manage piping, mechanical and structural discipline personnel and tasks associated with the successful execution of discipline specific scope of work.
  • Manage offshore craft labor and subcontractors for mechanical, piping and structural activities.
  • Liaise with Operations to help identify and support isolations and isolation certificates (ICC's).
  • Prepare necessary permit to work and supporting documentation as per Client's work management system.
  • Ensure that all welding activities are performed according to the applicable. standards, specifications and requirements (P&M discipline).
  • Focus on and contribute to a strong safety and quality mindset within the discipline.
  • Liaise with corresponding client discipline and commissioning personnel, as required.
  • Supervises and mentors field personnel, conduct effective safety meetings, ensures established processes and policies are communicated and adhered.
  • Input to Offshore Lead for daily reporting requirements including daily discipline timesheets.
  • Identification, follow up and resolution of field technical queries.
  • Mechanical completion management and coordination of MC walkdown's with client representative.
  • Field as-building and redlining of documentation.
  • Investigates and resolves personnel issues with assistance from others as required.
We think you should have:
  • Technical diploma or Trade certification in related discipline.
  • A minimum 8 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have Offshore Construction Supervisory experience.
  • Must complete mandatory safety training and meet qualifications required for work offshore.
  • Must have solid understanding of local safety and offshore industry regulations.
