We are seeking a motivated and organized Office Manager/Assistant Director to support our team in daily administrative tasks and contribute to the efficient operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth office operations and providing excellent support to staff and families.
Duties
Assist with administrative activities of the Child Care Centre.
Assist in human resources functions such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
Maintaining of office and other supplies and equipment.
Monthly Reconciliations.
Oversee payroll administration/Payworks.
Manage Accounts receivable and Accounts Payable.
Answering phones and redirecting calls.
Assist the Executive Director with Biweekly, Monthly and Annual reporting to the Department of Education.
Manage wait lists.
Qualifications
Grade 12 and successful completion of a business administration course or equivalent experience/ Early Childhood Education Level 2 or 3 would be an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Sage Accounting) or similar software applications.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
Additional qualifications include Current Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Current Child Abuse Registry Check and Current First Aid.
