Synopsis
Waverley Eye Centre and Eyes on Bridgwater are seeking a new team member as Director of Patient Experience. This position is an in-person full time salaried position Mon, Wed, Tues & Fri 8-5pm; Thurs 12-8pm; Saturdays (one per month) 9-2pm; 1 hour lunch break provided during weekdays.
The Director of Patient Experience at Waverley Eye Centre & Eyes on Bridgwater is responsible for overseeing the training of employees and the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks performed by our team. In addition oversee that patients experience a consistent encounter at our offices. Our services include eye examinations, fitting and selling of contact lenses, fitting and selling of glasses and sunglasses, low vision devices, vision training, sports vision training, eye spa, medical testing. Part of the patient experience is signage in our office, websites, YouTube channel, and social media.
The Director of Patient Experience works collaboratively with the Director of Optical Experiences and our associate doctors and is the face and voice speaking on behalf of the owners and building understanding and support for the mission of our office. The Director of Patient Experience encourages and engages with our team in their efforts to accomplish our mission and uses strong interpersonal skills to help resolve differences within the organization.

Qualifications
Essential:
A degree in a related field and/or related experience is required
Demonstrated and successful administrative leadership
Ability and experience in envisioning, implementing and evaluating organizational initiatives
Capacity to bring together, speak with passion, describe creatively in writing, energize and lead a organization
Demonstrated commitment to developing competence in management skills
Contact/Relationships : The Director of Patient Experience serves as manager of our team and inspires the vision and strategic direction of the organization •. •
Supervision: The Director of Patient Experience is accountable to the owners of Waverley Eye Centre and Eyes on Bridgwater and works in close collaboration with the other department directors, industry sales representatives, and associate doctors. The Director of Patient Experience supervises the financial services, and communications.
Complexity/Competencies: The Director of Patient Experience will lead the employees in a morning meeting and weekly team training meeting to implement the vision and priority goals of Waverley Eye Centre and Eyes on Bridgwater.
Independent Action: The Director of Patient Experience requires organizational skills to supervise the daily operations of Waverley Eye Centre and Eyes on Bridgwater. Written and oral communication skills are key assets.

Mental/Physical/Visual Demand: The job includes computer skills, accounting skills. Visual demands including using a computer for at least 4 hours per day. Physical demands may include tidying, light cleaning, and lifting small to medium size boxes.

Major Responsibilitie/Tasks
Public Relations / External Representation: 15% about 1 hour per day
Training Program : 25% about 2 hours per day
Record Keeping, Implementing, Follow Through, Incentives
Update Employee Records
Update Office Policies and Procedures
Leadership: 25% about 2 hours per day
Provide Supervision Daily/Weekly/Monthly tasks: assigning and supervising completion
Daily morning meetings
Lead Weekly team meetings
Monitor and ensure compliance with our Manitoba Association of Optometry By-Laws
Finances: 25% inventory control, bookkeeping, collections, building relationships with insurance and finance companies.
Special Projects: 10% Renovations, Open Houses, Other Duties as assigned.
Our Clinics
Waverley Eye Care Centre is a 25 year established independently owned full scope optometry clinic housed in a 4000 sq foot space. We have 5 fully equipped exam lanes, a busy dispensary, the latest diagnostic equipment and an on-site edging lab. Equipment includes Visual Field, OCT, Optos, axial length biometry, topographer, meibography, IPL, RF, Right Eye, finishing lab, tinting lab, i-Care and autorefractor/NCT. With a family atmosphere our 2 Doctor practice has loyal generations of patients. It is conveniently located with free parking in an established community in SouthWest Winnipeg. Waverley Eye Care Centre also had space dedicated to provide vision rehabilitation, sports vision training, myopia management and enhanced dry eye services.
Eyes on Bridgwater is a 5 year old growing independently owned optometry clinic housed in a 1000 sq foot space. It has 1 fully equipped exam lane in addition to Optos, axial length biometry, topographer, meibography, i-Care and autorefractor. It is conveniently located with free parking in a rapidly growing young community in SouthWest Winnipeg.
