Canadian Quality Inspections (CQI) is a Winnipeg, Manitoba based certified Welding Inspection Organization. We provide quality control, quality assurance, visual inspection, non-destructive testing and coating inspections for pressure piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, mobile cranes, industrial equipment and manufactured items.
We are looking for an Office Manager to join our team. If you are an ambitious individual that likes a challenge, this could be an opportunity for you.

Day to Day Responsibilities
:
Operational & Administrative Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.
Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and employee relocations, maintaining accurate workforce records.
Monitor open projects, customer satisfaction, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service.
Assist in developing and maintaining company processes, procedures, and training documentation. Create simplified instructions.
Support staff with reporting.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety requirements.
Be aware of Union agreement and ensure employees are following union rules.
Financial Management
Approve and validate weekly QA personnel time sheets; oversee payroll accuracy and corrections.
Manage operational budgets, project margins, and financial tracking for all active projects.
Prepare and analyze monthly performance reports.
Verify workflow alignment between dispatching and accounting platforms.
Develop customer-specific rate structures, evaluate contract risks, and prepare costing models by region.
Monitor annual projections and profitability targets on a weekly basis.
Monitor Job costing.
Verify anticipated margins are met.
Document lower profit margins and lessons learned
AR Collections
Process Improvements
Approve Time sheets
Review / Approve Invoices
Review yearly operating budgets

Business Development & Growth
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through online platforms and direct customer engagement.
Participate in business development activities including client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Support corporate branding and marketing initiatives to expand the company's presence and market share.
Evaluate subcontracting opportunities, negotiate terms, and prepare subcontract agreements.
Collaborate with leadership to identify new service offerings and regional expansion strategies.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Oversee updates and record keeping on the company's Safety Management Platform.
Support safety compliance audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cor Audits
Asset & Resource Oversight
Manage company vehicle procurement, trade-ins, and asset lifecycle planning, including depreciation tracking.
Oversee procurement and inventory management for operational resources and office equipment.
Ensure alignment between operational procedures and capital investment planning.
Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate:
Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
Must live in Winnipeg, Manitoba or surrounding area
Have your own transportation as bus transportation is not available
Experience in operations or senior management, preferably within inspection, construction, or industrial services sectors.
Strong understanding of financial controls, project management, and workforce logistics.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams across multiple regions.
Experience working in unionized environments and interpreting collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with dispatching/accounting software integrations.
Communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated success in driving business development and operational improvements.
Flexibility to travel as required.
