Job Description

The Peace Pregnancy Support Society is hiring!

About us

The Peace Pregnancy Support Society (PPSS) is a Christian, faith-based, registered charitable organization which oversees the Peace Pregnancy Support Centre (PPSC). At the PPSC, we envision a community where all those facing an unplanned, challenging, or lost pregnancy can find hope and healing. Our Centre ministers to individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and its effects regardless of their religious beliefs, lifestyle, gender identification, sexual orientation, or any other arbitrary circumstance. We strive to make our Centre a safe place that offers compassionate support and accurate, up to date information on all pregnancy options, sexual health, and post abortion care. We follow a respectful, client-led, permission-based approach, providing safe, loving, and compassionate emotional & spiritual support along with practical assistance, empowering clients to have choice and control over their lives.
Services through the PPSC are free of charge. Our resources come from churches, groups, and individuals who support our vision. Pregnancy Care Canada (PCC) is our umbrella organization, which serves to provide and uphold our high standard of training and care. Our relationship with PCC allows us to receive Canadian resources, training, support, and encouragement as we build this ministry.

We strive to develop a strong, ministry focused team willing to serve its community in an empathetic, confident, and effectual way.

Job Opening

We're currently offering a permanent Office Manager (OM) part-time position.

The Office Manager (OM) permanent part time position

is responsible to provide general office management, reception, administration, and assistance to the Executive Director (ED), and other staff or volunteers as necessary. The OM welcomes and provides initial intake with clients; performing reception tasks, assisting the ED with client care where needed, ensuring the client feels welcomed and reassured by a professional and respectful greeting by phone or in person. The OM may also be recruited to assist in researching and arranging client care programs. While the Office Manager (OM) and ED tasks may overlap at times, the OM is under the ED's supervision. The successful individual will be provided training and orientation through Pregnancy Care Canada (PCC).
