We are searching for a Office Coordinator to join our Parkland at the Lakes Phase 2 team based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
  • Responsible for entering charges on resident accounts, preparing resident monthly billings, and managing overdue accounts;
  • Maintaining resident business files, addressing account concerns, maintaining resident information system and monthly admission, discharges, and transfers;
  • Coordinates and maintains processes for financial disbursements;
  • Accepts and writes receipts for cheques or cash payments from clients, family or visitors according to facility policies;
  • Develops and tracks purchase orders as necessary;
  • Works with the Concierge regarding purchase orders, invoice approvals, provide POs to Management when needed;
  • Maintains archived paper and electronic documents as per facility guidelines;
  • Ensures resident safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provided;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
About You
  • Diploma in accounting or equivalent experience in using accounting software;
  • Previous supervisory/team lead experience is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is considered an asset;
  • Previous experience in working with seniors' or health related industry is considered an asset;
  • You can provide a clear Criminal Record Check
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
