Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting day to day operations along with the financial department of our organization, particularly within a winery office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, excellent problem solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities



Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers. Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. Handle front desk duties, including answering phone inquiries and emails with professionalism and courtesy. Source, negotiate and procure items/services for the winery. Provide clerical support by organizing documents and maintaining filing systems. Proofread financial documents for accuracy and completeness. Research and apply for government grants and/or other applications. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various administrative tasks, including spreadsheets and document management. Prepare reports and assist with audits as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a clerical or bookkeeping role is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of Quickbooks is an asset. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) is required. Ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently and accurately. Strong proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation. A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
