Scope and Summary of Primary ResponsibilitiesThis funded position through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, will afford a student the opportunity to gain experience and learn practical skills associated with working in an organization that provides professional vision rehabilitation therapy.VLRC is looking for an energetic dynamic individual who will assist and support the Regional Management Team, Vison Loss Rehabilitation Saskatchewan (VLRS) with administrative support in Saskatchewan for individuals of all ages living with vision loss.To be eligible for the funding associated with this position, you must be:

  • between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Protection Act
  • legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible.
II. Essential FunctionsThe position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 As directed by management, work with VLRC staff on research and administrative projects.\xc2\xb7 Drives staff with vision loss, provides support, and orientation at their destination.\xc2\xb7 General office and administrative duties.\xc2\xb7 Scanning and inputting of client documentation into client database.\xc2\xb7 Other related duties as required.Relationships:\xc2\xb7 Student will be responsible for relationships with VLRC staff, clients, and volunteers.RequirementsIII.
