Position Summary:
Every year the Arts Internship Office hires past interns to support all of the activities the office undertakes throughout the year including administration, event planning, providing information to students, publicity and special projects. We are looking for students who are enthusiastic about the Arts Internship Program and want to share their internship experience with other students as well as gain valuable logistical skills and institutional work experience.
Eligibility and Experience:Students must be familiar with AIO services - priority given to students who have completed an internship through AIO in the past
Students must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number
Students must look into eligibility for Work Study and have successfully applied to work study program using this website

Typical Functions:Act as a resource person for students and interns
General administrative assistance
Preparation of publicity materials (printed and social media)
Event planning assistance
Representing the Arts Internship Office to the McGill community (students, staff, Faculty) and outside organizations through meetings & written communication
Required Qualifications:Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications: Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Strong attention to detail (data entry, text editing, email etiquette, etc.)
Solid work ethic (punctual, good communication, works well in a team)
Fast learner and adaptable
Strong willingness to promote the Arts Internship Program
Desired Qualifications:Prior experience working with students
Proven writing and editing experience
Social media and communications experience
Written and spoken French
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday; between 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Approximately 10-15 hours/week.
In-person, Leacock room 307 (no remote work)
Schedule may vary based on the semester.
