Office Administrator Description The Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the organization while upholding our mission, vision and values. The office administrator conducts a myriad of office support and administrative functions to support each department within the organization. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact for MicroWatt, including greeting visitors in person and telephone reception
  • Provide support to the Finance department including review of expense reports, bank deposits A/P and A/R.
  • Provide administrative support for other departments, including but not limited to the coordination and completion of office tasks such as copying, data entry, couriers, mail, filing and preparation of letters, presentations, faxes agendas, binders, and reports
  • Develop a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and staff to provide information as required
  • Coordinate/schedule management and staff meeting travel, and participation in industry events and seminars, etc.
  • Order and maintain office, stationary, and kitchen supplies
  • Facilitate maintenance of office equipment and liaison with suppliers for photocopiers, cleaners, plants, towels, mats, and water/coffee
  • Coordinate external boardroom bookings, catering, equipment, and couriers for meetings and assist with post-meeting clean-up
  • Assist with event planning, social committee, and special projects as required
  • Other Duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in accounting administration and/or general office
  • Diploma preferred

Shipping and Receiving Description The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including proper records management within the ERP system. This includes cycle counts, processing of stock orders, and preparation of materials for shipment. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the receipt of all inbound shipments from customers and vendors
  • Accurately record serial numbers and quantities into the ERP
  • Coordinate outbound shipments to customers in relation to picking, packing, and processing within the ERP, including maintaining correct inventory levels, confirming product is activated and in working order, and following invoicing / billing processes
  • Process all documents required for shipping (i.e. TDG, BOL, Customs, etc.) as required
  • Maintain receiving and shipping logs
  • General warehousing activities
  • Assist in maintaining shipping and receiving supply levels
  • Work with internal team to resolve any issues pertaining to shipment errors and/or returns
  • Comply with and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Health & Safety programs and Quality Systems
Core Competencies
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities and situations
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize daily responsibilities and workload and effectively manage multiple priorities and time lines in a fast-paced environment

  • Accurate and effective keyboarding skills
  • General knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is an asset
  • Ability to deal with situations, people and problems ethically, with honesty and integrity
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
