Bussey Porter Hetu is seeking an

Office Administrator/Bookkeeper

to join our team in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Bussey Porter Hetu is a locally owned Chartered Professional Accounting firm with an affiliation with Porter Hetu International. We pride ourselves with providing exceptional financial, tax, and professional services. The growth in our firm has been exceptional over the past number of years and therefore we need to expand our professional team.

Responsibilities



Attending to customer inquiries; whether by phone or walk-in, in a timely and professional manner Receiving and routing calls, aiding and directing inquiries to proper individuals Providing administrative support to other team members within the organization Intake of client documents including logging and scanning Preparation of letters for yearend engagements Assist in compiling yearend packages to clients Retrieving documents using CRA's online portal Processing customer payments and issuing receipts Processing vendor invoices and payments Processing and issuing monthly client statements Tracking projects in appropriate software Prepare monthly reports assigned by the Manager and/or staff Assist in ordering and organizing supplies and keeping the supply room and kitchen stocked and clean Various other duties as required

Skills and Experience



High School Diploma with post-secondary diploma in Office Administration/Accounting or an acceptable combination of education and experience Experience in an office environment is required, minimum 1 year Experience with Caseware, Profile, Sage, and QBO would be considered an asset Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Experience in providing general office administrative support (including but not limited to preparing correspondence, mail, answering phones, filing, faxing, scheduling, etc) Bookkeeping skills an asset but not required Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills An approachable, professional, and adaptable demeanor A positive attitude and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in the close-knit team environment A motivated person with the ability to complete projects on time and within budget
