We are seeking an Office Administrator who is responsible for managing the business affairs of the church and collaborating with church members and staff to support the church's mission objectives. This role is a ministry of the church, extending its mission to employees, members, and the surrounding community. The position will grow from an initial 10 hours per week to 20 hours per week, absorbing all administrative duties previously managed by the Senior Pastor to enhance operational efficiency and support leadership focus on pastoral care and ministry.
Duties
? Act as the main point of contact by managing phone calls, visitors, mail, email, and packages.
? Prepare and share publications (e.g., bulletins, newsletters, memos, announcements) and update bulletin boards.
? Manage the church calendar, including facility and offsite bookings, service calls, and event logistics.
? Oversee key distribution, facility security, and access for authorized users.
? Keep organized records, such as police checks, petty cash, rentals, and the church directory.
? Maintain files for contractors, vendors, rental agreements, and related communications.
? Track inventory of office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies, monitoring monthly usage.
? Manage renter relationships, including lease coordination, payment tracking, and responding to inquiries or building issues.
? Handle routine purchases of consumables (e.g., office supplies, cleaning materials) within budget limits.
? Support the Annual General Meeting by preparing handouts, updating the membership list, and taking minutes.
? Assist with correspondence, scheduling, and document preparation (e.g., letters, reports, agendas) previously handled by the Senior Pastor.
? Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Deacon Board to support church operations and leadership.
Qualifications
? Committed Christian with a heart for serving the church community.
? Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle an expanding workload.
? Skilled in modern productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace); familiarity with graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a strong advantage.
? Comfortable using and adapting to office technology (e.g., multifunction printers, digital communication tools) and managing renter relationships, including lease coordination, payments, and inquiries.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
? Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $15.92-$25.00 per hour
