OEM Industrial Sales Business Development

This long-standing business has been helping their customers with their industrial rubber parts needs and components for over 50 years. They serve a diverse range of industries - agriculture, defence, mass transit, construction etc, selling into OEMs. This is possible through a supportive and helpful team. Whether it's with a standard rubber part or a custom piece, they care about the success of their product in every customer's business.

The business is expanding and they are looking to add an Industrial Sales and Business Development person to the team in their Burlington office.

Your opportunity

  • Respond to customer requests, leads, pricing requests, quotes submission, expediting and logistics options when necessary
  • Prepare quotes, sales contracts and presentations for customers
  • Participate in lead generation strategies, such identify business prospects, improving processes and creating a list of potential customers for follow-up
  • Proactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction and help develop ideas to successfully market our products.
  • Act as a problem solver when situations arise that need attention. One of our strengths is solving problems when they arise.
  • Meet on-site at OEM customers locations to witness the operation, speak to the engineering team, and gather insights needed to create the best solution to the client.

Your required job skills and qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education, preference will be given to Sales\Marketing\Technical and Engineering disciplines
  • Completed sales effectiveness training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy, Proficient in MS office suite and CRM Systems
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Knowledge of account management and sales techniques
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Your preferred experience and education
  • You have 2 years + of experience in sales and service
  • Ideally have a background in Industrial Sales
  • Have a "Hunter" mentality and is familiar with prospecting and lead generation activities
  • Is comfortable working from an office in both an Inside Technical Sales role and on the road
  • Understands Account Management and project-based business development
  • You have gained similar work experience in industrial product or industrial distribution work environment
  • You are familiar with order entry, quoting, inventory and material management
  • Skills in negotiation, upselling, and other sales tactics are ideal
  • You have familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
