Position Summary:



The Dispatcher/Tower Operator plays a critical role in maximizing workshop utilization by effectively assigning work to technicians based on their skill level, availability, and capabilities. This role ensures a fair and balanced workflow distribution while maintaining a high standard of shop efficiency and productivity. It is the duty of the Dispatcher to promptly report any actions, incidents, or behaviors that may compromise the performance, safety, or integrity of the workshop to management.


Key Responsibilities:

Prioritize and dispatch repair and maintenance work efficiently across the shop Monitor and manage shop capacity to ensure optimal technician productivity and workflow Track technician availability and communicate absences or delays to, Service Advisors, and Management Support internal repair orders and pre-delivery inspections to meet production targets and ensure timely completion Identify and escalate opportunities for process improvement to enhance workshop efficiency and throughput Manage relationships and scheduling with all sublet vendors working with the service department Answer incoming service inquiries professionally and schedule appointments accurately, as needed

Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Knowledge of automotive service processes and technician skill sets
