Inform clients, via e-mail, of the details of their shipments and the date of arrival.
Keep up to date shipment files with documents received by agents
Invoice clients and ensure that all charges for services rendered are included and that rates are billed according to the agreement (if necessary, verify credit with the accounting department)
Effectively research and have ability to negotiate for the best rates
Ensure proper export/import documentation is completed to support shipments Timely and accurate administration of documentation
Approves, tracks and ensures payment of freight in a timely manner
Monitor shipments with strong follow up on a daily basis
Monitor all documentation and customs processes in a timely manner, to avoid delays in clearance and delivery.
Active involvement with resolving issues and problem solving
Excellent communication skills required with vendors, clients and brokers, transport companies
Update freight rates
Provide a professional service to assist and resolve customer issues
Create pre-requisite shipping documents such as Bookings, B13/CAED, AES, Certificate of Origin, Marine Insurance
Create accurate shipping instructions with product correctly identified and labeled
Update our transportation management system and customer websites of real time load locations
Outstanding ability to meet deadlines, and to work in an extremely fast- paced environment
Other duties as defined by the immediate supervisor
