Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. As an OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients in various settings. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, aquatic exercises and daily living activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Experience:
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant/ Rehabilitation Assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with special needs and pediatric settings is highly desired

Familiarity or experience with swimming or aqua therapy sessions is highly desired


- Proficiency in medical terminology is required

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to adapt to different patient needs and treatment plans
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges during therapy sessions
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document patient progress
