We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and client-focused Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support children and families within our therapy programs. The successful candidate will work directly under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement treatment plans that promote independence, emotional regulation, functional skills, and meaningful participation in daily routines.
Responsibilities
Implement OT-developed intervention plans to support fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), motor planning, and school readiness skills.
Carry out one-on-one or small-group sessions as delegated by the supervising OT.
Collect detailed session data and progress notes to inform ongoing assessment and treatment adjustments.
Assist with developing therapy materials and environments that promote engagement and success.
Maintain regular communication with the supervising OT to review progress, challenges, and next steps.
Educate and support families in carryover strategies for home, school, and community settings.
Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming care practices.
Qualifications
Successful completion of a Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant program from an accredited college. (Preferred)
Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with developmental disabilities (ABA, pediatrics, schools, clinics, or similar settings preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to follow OT-developed treatment plans with fidelity.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (OT, ABA, Behaviour Analysts, Speech, etc.).
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (or ability to obtain).
CPR/First Aid certification an asset.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
