Duties
Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
Support patients during therapy sessions by guiding exercises, activities, and functional tasks aimed at improving daily living skills.
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or notable changes to the supervising therapist.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and maintained according to safety standards.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize therapy outcomes.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Skills
Proven experience or familiarity with acute care settings, demonstrating adaptability to fast-paced environments.
Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable, along with a compassionate approach tailored to children's needs.
Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a patient-centered focus.
Organizational skills necessary for documenting patient progress accurately and efficiently.
