Reporting to the Coordinator of Therapy Programs, responsible for unit level therapy programs. This includes assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating therapy care plans on both an individual and group basis, for an assigned number of residents. Supervises and instructs Rehabilitation Assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Two (2) years\' recent related experience.

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively, especially the elderly, physically and mentally handicapped.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• Ability to travel between various Juan de Fuca Hospital sites.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position (lifting and moving residents safely).
