Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting and a strong background in patient care, particularly with pediatric populations. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and effective case management. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for daily living. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Stay informed about medical terminology and acute care practices to provide the highest standard of care.

Requirements

A valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice. Previous hospital experience is preferred, with a focus on acute care settings. Strong knowledge of case management principles and practices. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to occupational therapy. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
