Position Overview


Responsible and accountable to the Manager of Professional Practice, for the provision of outpatient hand therapy in a fast paced, high volume hospital clinic setting. This position is responsible for all aspects of care delivery, education, profession/program development and quality of service.


Education




Graduate of an accredited university program in OT/PT Masters in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy or equivalent required License to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists of Ontario required

Qualifications






Minimum 2 years of recent related experience with acute hand injuries, both surgical and non-surgical required Skilled in the management of hand injuries/conditions both surgical and non-surgical Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high volume clinic environment Able to work in a hand therapy model of care environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to participate/lead health service councils and task groups Motivated to practice in accordancewith the mission and vision of hospital/health service Good work and attendance record required All employees of Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), a division of Toronto East Health Network (TEHN) [formerly Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH)] agree to work within the legislated practices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
